Confident Transitions Starts with the
Right Support
Every stage of education brings new opportunities—and new challenges.
For neurodiverse students, major transitions can feel overwhelming. New environments, increased expectations, changing routines and greater independence can create uncertainty and anxiety, even for capable learners.
At Jade Education, we provide personalised transition support to help students develop the academic, organisational and life skills they need to move confidently into the next stage of their education.
Our transition programs focus on two key stages:

-
Years 4–6 students preparing for high school
-
Years 10–12 students preparing for TAFE, university or employment
By building practical skills before change occurs, students are better prepared to adapt, succeed and feel confident in their new environment.

Additional Support and Evaluation
A key change in secondary school is the depth of content knowledge needed. Students move from a single classroom with a generalist primary teacher to secondary classes with up to 12 teachers who are specialists in their subject areas – some have PhDs in their chosen study area.

As part of the transition program, we can assess your child’s academic level in all areas and create a targeted intervention, so they are ready for the increases academic demands of Year 7.
We also offer IEP/PLP development support to ensure that the secondary school has all the relevant information before your child starts.
Secondary School documentation
Moving to secondary school is an exciting time but it is critical for neurodiverse students that the school has the relevant documentation and education plans (IEP/ PLP) have been communicated so that your child has the right support from the first day.

We can help with communication, plan development, and ensuring that you and your child have the information needed to advocate for the critical adjustments and supports that ensure engagement in their education.
