Helping Neurodiverse Teenagers Discover Their Potential
Every student learns differently. For many neurodiverse teenagers, success isn't about working harder—it's about finding the right approach to learning.
Monica Squassoni has dedicated her career to helping students understand how they learn, build confidence in their abilities and develop the skills they need to achieve their personal and academic goals.
As the founder of Jade Education, Monica combines extensive classroom experience with advanced qualifications in special education, learning difficulties and literacy to provide personalised education support that empowers students to thrive.
Her passion is helping young people move beyond simply coping with school and towards becoming confident, capable and independent learners.
Experience That Makes a Difference
Monica is a qualified secondary school teacher with extensive experience supporting neurodiverse students across both mainstream and specialised educational settings. Working with students in Years 7–12, she understands the increasing academic, organisational and emotional demands of high school and how these can affect students with learning differences. Her practical classroom experience allows her to develop strategies that work not only during education sessions but also within the realities of everyday school life.
This real-world understanding helps students build skills they can confidently apply in the classroom, at home and throughout their education.
A Personalised Approach to Learning
No two students learn in exactly the same way.
Rather than applying a standard tutoring model, Monica takes time to understand each student's:
-
Learning strengths
-
Individual challenges
-
Interests and motivations
-
Academic goals
-
Executive functioning skills
-
Learning profile
From there, personalised strategies are developed to help students build confidence, improve organisation and become increasingly independent learners. Sessions are supportive, practical and tailored to each student's pace, ensuring they feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes and celebrate progress.
