In October we started running Jade Fitness & FUNctional movement classes for Recovery Camp. What is Recovery Camp & why it's so important.
Who is Recovery Camp
Recovery Camp offers a supportive, fun, and empowering experience for people living with mental health issues and mental illness. It's about connection, hope, and building a community, where people are seen as people, not as a diagnosis.

For health students
​
As an ANMAC-recognised 80-hour clinical placement, Recovery
Camp has changed mental health education in Australia.
For over a decade, we have provided better clinical placement to
students of nursing, paramedicine, exercise science, psychology,
nutrition and dietetics, and occupational therapy.
With support from Registered Nurse facilitators, students learn
about mental health, mental illness, and recovery, directly from
people with lived-experience.


Why "FUNctional" Movement?
Physical activity is about more than just "getting fit"—it’s about reclaiming the freedom to live life to the fullest. Our classes are designed to be FUNctional, meaning every stretch, step, and motion is chosen to help you move
better, feel stronger, and navigate daily life with confidence.

At Recovery Camp, we don't focus on "working out"; we focus on
moving through. Whether we are building better balance,
increasing flexibility, or simply rediscovering the joy of a body in
motion, our sessions are built on the belief that a healthy body
supports a healthy mind.

Recovery is an active process, and at Jade Fitness, we are
