I've spent a good chunk of my life working hard, often physically demanding jobs. From unloading trucks to wielding a paintbrush, I've pushed my body to its limits. And while I'm proud of what I've accomplished, I can't ignore the toll it's taken.
I've had my share of injuries, from slips and falls to cuts and bruises. I've felt the strain of long hours and the stress of deadlines. And like many of you, I often put my needs last and I've learned the hard way that self-care isn't a luxury, it's a necessity.
It's time to break the cycle. It's time to prioritise ourselves. Why do we wait until we're on the brink of burnout to take care of ourselves? Let's treat ourselves with the same care and attention we give to our loved ones and our possessions. After all, we're the only ones who can truly take care of ourselves.
So, let's make a commitment to self-care. It's not selfish, it's essential. Let's start small and build from there. Whether it's a going for a walk daily, come and joining in our classes, or simply taking a few moments to breathe deeply, every little bit counts.
Remember, you deserve to be healthy, happy, and fulfilled. Let's make it happen.
